And Than We Swam

They didn’t have a clue what they were about to do and they had no experience at all. But that wouldn’t stop rowing rookies Ben Stenning and James Adair from pursuing their dream: Crossing the Indian Ocean. When Ben and James rowed off, they were nervous, but still optimistic. At least the boat had the experience that her crew was lacking. Knowing no safety boat could reach them, should they ever get into trouble, the thought of the 3500 miles from Australia to Mauritius grew even more daunting. But James and Ben couldn’t resist the call of adventure. After 116 days on the ocean they finally approach Mauritius. That's when a gigantic wave hits their boat - they capsize five miles offshore...

Red Bull Storm Chase

For windsurfers the storm of the century is like winning the lottery: Once the wind speeds hits the shore at100 kmph, only the cream of the crop stands a chance. Using the swell as kickers the athletes let themselves be hurled into the skies, reaching heights of 18 meters and more. On land they keep an eye on the weather forecast, constantly searching for the next storm.

In STORM CHASE the 10 best riders of the scene compete for the best performance in Ireland, Cornwall and Tasmania: Windsurf action at full throttle, big aerials and a particularly stiff and salty breeze. Right at the helm of the storm and the competition are Thomas Traversa (FRA), Marcilio Browne (BRA) and two German Top-Surfers : Leon Jamaer and Dany Bruch.

And according to divers Brian Kakuk and Brett Hemphill the most interesting diving spots are not be found offshore but below the surface. The biggest part of the underground labyrinth ist still waiting to be discovered. That’s why Brian and Brett need bright lamps and strong nerves to bring lights into the darkness. Even though they are looking back on years of experience and a lot of technical know-how, every single dive into the unknown is an adventure.
